Thomas Schwab is a technology executive and business strategist with more than 23 years of experience in technical and business consulting, executive leadership, solutions design, application development/programming, systems integration/administration, network engineering and enterprise systems architecture.
Thomas joined GSI in June, 2015 as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, which includes priority opportunities and internal business improvement. In addition, he recently took ownership of Alliances which includes all GSI strategic Partner and Vendor relationships.
Thomas has spent over 15 years in the JD Edwards field as a designer, implementer, and Director of Professional and Managed services before becoming CIO of a textile manufacturing firm. Early in his career, Mr. Schwab was a software designer and developer, implementing business application and database solutions. From there, he progressed to a network and systems engineer and administrator, and then migrated to implementing Novell and Windows solutions with an emphasis on connectivity to mid-range systems like the AS400. Most recently, Thomas spent almost 5 years as Associate Vice President of Professional Services for a very large, nationwide technology products and services firm where he helped focus the team on profitable services and grow billable efficiency and revenue over 3x in the first year
Mr. Schwab holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Capital University. He lives in North Georgia with his wife and three daughters. Thomas focuses on supporting and taking part in local and international mission work through heavy involvement in their church. He enjoys running on a regular basis, loves to hike in the mountains and fly-fishes often. Thomas has hiked the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain, GA to The Great Smoky Mountains N.P., and hopes to one day hike the entire trail.
