Technology Services · Cloud Hosting

Multi-cloud hosting from the firm that runs your ERP.

OCI, Azure, AWS, and IBM iSeries via LightEdge. We host the ERP environments we configure, with disaster recovery and 24/7 monitoring built in.

Four signals that a hosting conversation is
overdue.

The decision to host in the cloud, replatform, or move providers rarely arrives quietly. It usually shows up as one of these four signals.

01

Aging on-premises hardware

Servers off warranty, iSeries hardware aging out, or storage running out of headroom. The capital request is large and the timeline is tight, but the alternative is a cloud move that changes the cost model entirely.

02

JDE World extended support ended

As of April 2025, JDE World is out of extended support. Operators on World are evaluating EnterpriseOne migrations alongside cloud or hybrid hosting decisions. The two questions are linked.

03

Multi-cloud sprawl

Workloads scattered across OCI, Azure, AWS, and SaaS, with no unified governance or cost model. Different teams making different decisions. The bill grows faster than anyone's visibility into what is running.

04

Compliance requirements multiplying

CMMC 2.0 phase 2, NERC CIP-003-9, HIPAA, PCI, FedRAMP, state privacy laws. Your hosting layer has to produce evidence on demand, and your current provider does not speak your auditor's language.

SLA Standard
99.99%

Guaranteed cloud computing uptime. One-hour hardware replacement and SAN-to-SAN replication keep you running when something physical fails.

Standard SLA across the GSI managed hosting practice and our LightEdge partnership. RPO of five minutes, RTO of two hours, 100% network uptime at the data center layer.

Five hosting paths. One accountable team.

The right cloud depends on your workload, your existing licensing, and where the business wants to invest the next ten years. We size each engagement to the destination that fits, then run it.

Hybrid architecture

What hosted with GSI looks like, month to month.

Hosting is not a one-time migration. The value compounds over years through environment hygiene, capacity discipline, and the kind of operational rigor that catches problems before they hit the business.

The work that does not show up in marketing

Patching that does not break integrations. Backups that have been verified to actually restore. Capacity planning that catches the storage curve before it hits the wall. Security baselines that hold up to an audit instead of a stack of screenshots.

Most hosting providers run servers. We run the JDE Tools release on top of the server, the Azure or OCI tenancy that wraps it, and the integrations that hold the whole picture together. One bench, one accountability.

Pricing layers on top of cloud platform cost. Standard 36-month agreements, billed quarterly in advance, with hours interchangeable across CNC, DBA, and CSM support categories.

Most engagements start with a Cloud Value Assessment.

A productized advisory engagement that pressure-tests the move before anyone commits to a platform. The output is a sized, defensible roadmap, not a vendor pitch. Eight named deliverables, scoped to your environment.

What you receive
01
Documented findings and recommendations

Topology, dependencies, integration map, customization inventory, and security model snapshot, captured against your current environment.

02
Cloud migration roadmap

Phased move plan with platform recommendation, target architecture, and the rationale for each platform decision.

03
Prioritized scope

What moves first, what waits, and why. Aligned to business risk, dependency order, and the capacity of your internal team.

04
High-level timeline

Phase-by-phase estimate from discovery through go-live, with explicit contingency reserve and dependency risk markers.

05
High-level estimate

Sized cost ranges for migration plus three-year managed services projection, presented as ranges rather than a single number.

06
ROI and TCO analysis

Capex versus opex shift, infrastructure cost reduction, productivity gains. Modeled with explicit assumptions you can challenge.

07
Risk mitigation strategy

What can go wrong at each phase, how it gets caught early, and the rollback plan if the cutover does not land cleanly.

08
Future-state support model

AppCare or SuiteCare scope, hours, SLA tiers, and the support handoff plan for the moment after cutover completes.

Six phases. Twelve to twenty weeks. Named deliverables at every stage.

A repeatable structure with explicit exit criteria for each phase. The same team owns every stage from discovery through go-live.

PHASE 01

Discovery and planning

2–3 weeks

Document current topology: application release, Tools level, servers, database, pathcodes, customizations, integrations, security model. Review target cloud architecture: regions, compartments, VCN layout, compute shapes, licensing model. Output: assessment, sized target architecture, migration runbook draft.

PHASE 02

Infrastructure build

2–4 weeks

Network and security setup: VCN, subnets, routing, security lists, identity. Compute provisioning for every tier: Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, HTML, AIS, RAS, BSSV, Orchestrator Studio. Database creation with matched version, character set, parameters, and storage tier.

PHASE 03

Software installation

2–3 weeks

Clean installation of every JDE component into the new environment. Matching Tools release applied, ESUs and ASUs current. Server Manager, BI Publisher, and RAS configured. The infrastructure is now operational; data has not yet moved.

PHASE 04

Data migration

2–4 weeks

Database export and import for schema migration. File-based migration of media objects, print queues, and packages. Configuration table migration: OCMs, data sources, security, pathcodes, UDOs, orchestrations. Cycle counts validated against source.

PHASE 05

Configuration

2–3 weeks

Recreate managed homes, JDBC data sources, JAS instances. Reconfigure OAuth and SSO. Reconnect integrations: tax, EDI, banking, warehouse, shop floor. Validate every interface before moving to cutover.

PHASE 06

Testing and cutover

2–3 weeks

Functional testing against a defined script. Performance testing under load. Connectivity verification across every integration. Go-live cutover with rollback plan in hand and the bench standing by.

Hosting partner · LightEdge

For iSeries and compliance-heavy environments, we partner with LightEdge.

LightEdge runs the data center layer; GSI runs the application layer. Accountability for the engagement sits with GSI. The compliance posture and global reach come from a partner that has been doing this for over twenty years.

18

Data centers across the US and Amsterdam, including SOC 2 and HIPAA-attested sites

300,000+

Successful migrations completed across the LightEdge customer base

100%

Network uptime guarantee at the data center layer with redundant carrier paths

5 min.

Recovery point objective for SAN-to-SAN replication, with two-hour RTO standard

Four reasons hosting at GSI is structurally different.

Most hosting providers sell infrastructure. We sell the running environment. The distinction shows up in the work that does not happen on day one but adds up across the next thirty-six months.

ERP-aware hosting, not just servers

We know your JDE Tools release, your NetSuite SuiteScript profile, your Orchestrations, your custom code. The same bench that configures the application also runs the infrastructure, which means patching does not break integrations.

Multi-cloud breadth, single accountability

OCI, Azure, AWS, private cloud, and iSeries via LightEdge under a single engagement. Not three procurement teams and three escalation paths when something breaks at the seam between providers.

GENIUS AI and GENISYS, no add-on contract

JDE-specific environment monitoring through GENIUS AI, performance optimization through GENISYS, both included in the AppCare engagement. Application intelligence, not generic infrastructure metrics. You see anomalies before they become incidents, and the optimizer flags performance drift before users feel it.

The LightEdge relationship for iSeries

Most JDE consultancies do not have an iSeries answer. They send you to a separate provider and step away. We carry the engagement through, with LightEdge handling the data center and SLA and GSI staying on the application side.

Cloud hosting is one practice. Most
engagements span more.

The hosting decision usually arrives in the same conversation as the ERP roadmap and the security posture. Six practices under one roof means the answer does not require six different vendors.

Frequently Asked

Questions buyers ask before the discovery call.

If a question on your list is not here, mention it on the form above and we will address it before the call rather than during.

A productized advisory engagement that produces eight named deliverables: documented findings, a migration roadmap, prioritized scope, high-level timeline, high-level estimate, ROI and TCO analysis, risk mitigation strategy, and a future-state support model. Most cloud engagements start here. The output is a sized, defensible plan rather than a sales proposal, and the assessment fee is typically credited against the migration project if you proceed.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with direct tenancy management, Microsoft Azure, AWS, private and hybrid cloud, and IBM iSeries via our LightEdge partnership. The right platform depends on workload, regulatory profile, and existing licensing posture, and we sit on the side of the customer rather than a single platform vendor.

Most JDE EnterpriseOne migrations to OCI or Azure run twelve to twenty weeks end to end, depending on environment count, integration complexity, and customization volume. NetSuite customers do not migrate the SaaS application itself, but companion infrastructure such as SuiteScript pipelines, EDI, and integrations may take six to ten weeks to redeploy.

Both. iSeries hosting runs through our LightEdge partnership, with 18 data centers and managed IBMi services that include disaster recovery. x86 workloads run on OCI, Azure, AWS, or LightEdge depending on platform fit. The same GSI engagement covers both halves of the stack.

LightEdge is GSI's hosting partner for iSeries and select x86 workloads where compliance, data sovereignty, or hybrid topology matters. GSI handles the application layer, including JDE configuration, Tools releases, and integrations. LightEdge handles the infrastructure layer, including the data center, network, compliance attestations, and hardware SLAs. Single accountability sits with GSI throughout the engagement.

SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI DSS, GDPR, and FISMA at the LightEdge infrastructure layer. NIST, CMMC 2.0, and NERC CIP are supported through paired engagement with GSI's cybersecurity practice for control implementation, evidence collection, and audit preparation.

Pricing depends on platform, server count, storage, network egress, and managed services scope. OCI environments typically run $2,500 to $6,600 per month for mid-market footprints. Azure enterprise environments range higher based on workload, often $30,000 plus per month for larger operators. iSeries hosting with full disaster recovery and networking starts around $41,000 per month. Managed services layer on top with quarterly billing in advance and standard 36-month agreements.

Yes. Migration projects sit alongside ongoing managed services. AppCare and SuiteCare hours can be applied to the migration scope or held separately for application support during the cutover, depending on engagement structure and your team's preference.
